Weddings at home

Married in the Cotswolds, entertained by the Cotswolds Magician of the Year

The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful places in Britain to get married, and Jack has the strongest possible claim to it: he lives here, and he is the reigning Cotswolds Magician of the Year. Whether you are marrying at a castle like Sudeley, a country house hotel like Ellenborough Park, a barn like Cripps or Kingscote, or in Cheltenham itself at somewhere like the Pittville Pump Room or Manor By The Lake, he brings the same thing: magic that turns two guest lists into one party.

How Jack fits your day

Made for the way Cotswolds weddings actually run

Long golden-hour photos, barn turnarounds, two families meeting for the first time: this is where the magic earns its place.

Drinks on the lawn, ice broken

Cotswolds venues live outdoors in summer, and while you are away for photographs your guests are milling on a lawn with strangers. Jack works the groups, three to six people at a time, and by your return the party has already started.

A modern host, not a red tailcoat

If you want more than magic, Jack runs the day as your contemporary master of ceremonies: announcements, speeches introduced properly, timings kept, all without the stuffiness. One supplier, the whole day handled.

Magic for every generation

A wedding audience runs from your youngest cousin to your oldest relative, and close-up magic needs no age limit and no explanation. Nobody is embarrassed, nobody is dragged up, and every table gets its own impossible moment.

Coverage

On home ground

Jack is based near Cheltenham, so the whole of the Cotswolds is local: Winchcombe, Broadway, Bibury, Tetbury, Stow, the lot. That means no travel costs, easy venue visits, and an in-person discovery meeting rather than a phone call, which is how every full hosting booking starts.

Jack performs at weddings, parties and corporate events for adult audiences, never children's parties, though at a wedding the magic delights every generation of your guests.

He isn't the cheesy, rabbit-out-of-a-hat type. He captures the attention of the whole room. Even people who 'don't like magic' end up saying 'do another one!'. Very nice guy, even better magician.

Questions

Cotswolds weddings, answered

Do you know our Cotswolds venue?

Very possibly, and if not, he will before your day. Jack lives in the area and coordinates directly with your venue's team and your planner in the run-up, including a visit where useful. Every full hosting booking starts with an in-person discovery meeting, which is easy when the venue is on his doorstep.

Our reception is in a barn with no staging or AV. Does that matter?

Not at all, it is ideal. Close-up magic is performed in guests' hands, three to six people at a time, so it needs no stage, microphone or power. Barn acoustics, marquee layouts and outdoor drinks receptions are all part of a normal Cotswolds season for Jack.

Can you host our whole wedding day as well as perform?

Yes. Most couples book Jack as a modern master of ceremonies and magician in one: greeting guests, making every announcement, introducing the speeches and keeping the day on time, with magic woven through from reception drinks to the evening. Prefer just the magic? Mix and mingle is available on its own.

When during the day does the magic work best?

The classic Cotswolds shape: during reception drinks while photographs are taken, between courses at the wedding breakfast, and as evening guests arrive. Mix and mingle runs one to three hours performed to small groups, and Jack will recommend the slots that fit your timeline when you enquire.

How far ahead should we book a Cotswolds wedding date?

As early as you can. Jack takes a limited number of weddings each year, and Cotswolds summer Saturdays are the first dates to go. Checking your date costs nothing: if it is free, you will have a fixed, no-obligation quote within 24 hours.
